I just learned today that Price Is Right is coming to Little Rock!
This is a bucket-list kind of event. A friend wrote me on Facebook to tell me they were coming: it made her think of me and our dreams of going together for our eighteenth birthdays. For those unaware, only eighteen & older are admitted into the game show. Only I never made it to California at age eighteen; it’s as though they are coming to find me.
In the moments of opening Google to determine the dates, my eyes started to water and I was stuttering in excitement to tell Stephen we might be there for it!
But they weren’t able to find me. They are coming 13 February, and I fly into Little Rock just a month later.
“SO CLOSE,” I said.
“…And yet so far away.”
